Year in Pictures...

Soooo.... My super awesome camera phone takes to high quality pictures to upload straight to blogger.  As such that plan has been temporarily suspended until I can figure out the bounce back problem.

A year in pictures.

I have decided that I am going to try and take a picture every day. I am sure the pictures will be a million times more interesting when Corah gets here. In any case it will be a fun way to document the everyday events of a seemingly normal life.  I think most of my 356 photos will probably be from my phone and less than spectacular quality so you'll have to bear with me. I have already posted my photo of the day...(See glucose drink previous post.)

Catch Up!

I know I have been missing for a while.  My MacBook was out of commission because my Lhasa Apso, Theodore, decided to chew through my power cord.  Because a new power cord costs a minimum of $80.00 we decided Darwin would need to wait until after the holidays for power.  Thankfully, the hubs got tired of me pouting decided that we could afford a new one this week and we are back to the bloggy world.
Today I had my glucose test...

I opted for the Orange flavored drink.  It does not taste like the Orange Slice Soda it looks like.  More like flat Slice with a cup of sugar added.  After one sip I opted for the 'chug' method.
The problem with this test is that it was at 1pm.  I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything before the test and I couldn't pee after I drank the solution for an hour.  While in the waiting room an 8-year-old girl dumped melted ice cream on my foot.  I was annoyed by this incident on its own.  THEN when I heard the mom ask if she spilled any the girl said no.  As I am sitting there trying to control the urge to cry I said "She spilled it all over my foot!" The girl looked at me and told me to "Shut-up" and the mom responded that she was just a little 8-year-old she didn't know any better. It was all I could do to not fly off the handle.  I went to the ladies room to try and clean the chocolate out of my nice white TOMS.  Thankfully by the time I returned to the waiting room the family was gone.

Now,  I know that I can't say that "My child wont ever do that."  But! I can say that if that were my child I would be apologizing profusely AND try to make the situation better like offering to get a napkin or something.  I would also expect more from a freaking 8-year-old.  Grrrr!

I am also reasonably certain that I failed my Glucose test.  I'm not sure why I feel this way, I just do.  We will see and I will keep y'all posted.
