Oh Baby!

I should start by saying this blog isn't going to be baby only.  But! Jelly Bean is the most interesting and exciting thing going on in our lives right now.  So, I am going to start with a baby status post.

How far along? 18 Weeks!

Baby's size? About the length of a bell pepper, weighs about 7oz.

Weight Gain? -22 lbs. (Odd, I know.  Pregnancy has been good to my scale.)

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Belly button in or out? In.

Sleep? Can't get enough! I have always been a sleeper and pregnancy has just made me better at it. ;)

Foods I am loving? Potatoes, pickles, popcorn, and sour candy. But, none of these in combination.

Foods I am hating? Anything I've seen in its raw state. Anything greasy, fired, heavy, or fatty.

Best moment this week? Being asked by a stranger "is there a baby in there?" The bump has defiantly started to pop.

Movement? Not yet.

Symptoms? I have an intense gag reflex!  Its the strangest thing to me.  If I see, smell, hear, or even think about anything gross I vomit.  If anything touches the front of my neck same reaction.  I havn't worn a t-shirt since August for this very reason.

Gender? We don't know yet. Matthew is convinced it's a girl. I really think baby is a boy.

What I miss? Dr. Pepper.

What I'm looking forward to? Feeling baby move.

Weekly Wisdom: Long maternity jeans and pants do exist!

Milestone: Ummmmm....

Emotions: My grandpa is really sick right now.  I worry about him a lot and this makes me really emotional. I have thought about introducing my baby to Grandpa since I found out I was expecting.  I was really close to my Papa Stein since I was little.  My dad likes to tell the story about when I was a baby my Aunts and Grandma made my Grandpa stay out of my eye sight until they got to hold me. Apparently, once I saw him I wanted nothing to do with anyone but him. He once told Matthew that, out of all his grandkids, he really only remembers me as a baby.  Its why Grandpa being sick right now makes things a little tough for me to process. I am sure that my ever changing hormones only magnifies things!  So, if you could say a quick prayer for him that would be fantastic.
